Is Business Formation website easy to use?

The website was designed with the first time user in mind. The forms show only those questions necessary to complete with helpful prompts along the way.

Should you get stuck you can save the form and return to it at a later time.

Do I need to Register?

No you do not need to register with Business Formation to complete any order. We do recommend it and the benefits are listed below in the next FAQ.

What is recorded when I register?

We do not save any more information than is necessary to contact you. Most of this information is included in the forms and is recorded in any case as part of the form.

We undertake not to provide any information to any third party other than what is legally required or is required to process the forms. We will not spam you but may from time to time send you updates to our service. You may of course delete your registration at anytime.

What are the benefits of Registering with Business Formation?

When you register with Business Formation the information we obtain is used in the forms that you complete as default values to save you typing.

Registration is necessary if you wish to save an incomplete order and retrieve it at a later date. You may wish to do this if you are missing some information at the time of starting the form.

What are the benefits of using Business Formation?

While Business Formation does not give Legal, Accounting or Financial Planning advice, we have tried to make this site easy to use and helpful for you. Your accountant or lawyer is there to give you sound advice and we recommend you use them.

However Business Formation has endeavoured to put into the one location all the necessary requirements to get your business started. Our initial offering is as follows:

How do I receive my order?

Business name registration forms You have the choice when you finalise your order how you want it delivered. With the exception of Victoria all states require an original signature on the form and therefore you will need to sign the form before sending it to the relevant state authorities. You will be given the option at the completing the application to either send this completed form to you by email (a link is sent for you to download the completed form) for you to print out or the completed form will be mailed through Australia Post.

ATO registration is done over the internet and the result is email to your email address that you use on the form.
